So thrilled to have found such delicious, fresh and authentic Peruvian ceviche and parihuela soup here! Delicious and fresh food and great portion sizes. The staff mostly speaks Spanish. You come here for the food not the ambience. The restaurant feels like a popular local joint and the ambience needs to be updated a little. Overall I would return here for the Peruvian fold.

First ever Peruvian restaurant and it did not disappoint! Tried ceviche for the first time it was delicious! The Milanesa is my go too, and the chaufa. The food is always fresh and the price is great for what you get. The atmosphere is great everyone is friendly. Highly recommend it ! Excited to go back again soon
A place for delicious traditional fare. The owner is a simple gentleman who is passionate about his business and proud of his heritage. I tried the prawn Ceviche and the beef stir fry (Lomo Saltado).. both the dishes were perfect.

Hands down the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve ever been to! Everything was delicious, but the leche de tigre was absolutely to die for!!! It is fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and bursting with that citrusy kick that keeps you coming back for more. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients and put real love into every dish!!! La Kausa in North Bergen is hands down my favorite Peruvian spot! The food is always fresh and packed with authentic flavor. The prices are great, the portions are generous, and the Leche de Tigre is an absolute must — I always order one to go because it’s that good. It’s so worth the 45-minute drive every single time. I usually stock up on all my favorites to enjoy at home. My kids are obsessed with the chaufa, and my husband never leaves without his papa mayo. If you love Peruvian food (or just amazing food in general), La Kausa is the real deal. P.S. the staff is amazing!
Any time I’m back home I make sure I fit in a visit to La Kausa- they are HANDS DOWN the best Peruvian restaurant! The atmosphere and service makes you feel like you’re at home, visiting your extended Tia/Tio, and the food will speak for itself. Do yourself a favor and go see what the hype is all about.
